Queensland labour hire licensing news keeps you updated on how Queensland’s labour hire licensing scheme continues to achieve significant outcomes in protecting vulnerable workers and ensuring the integrity of the labour hire industry.

November 2025

The next edition for the 2025-26 financial year covers the providers subject to licensing action from July to September 2025, information from the Fair Work Ombudsman about their role and how they assist workers and businesses in the building and construction industry and general guidance on employing children in Queensland. It also covers our joint activities with Queensland Fire Department (QFD) in Gatton, our field visits in the Wide Bay and Burnett areas, and recent prosecutions under the labour hire licensing scheme.

August 2025

Our second edition includes articles about licensing and compliance actions, a spotlight on the disability support sector, joint operations with the Australian Border Force, upcoming field visits in North Queensland, guidance on sham contracting, and recent prosecutions under the labour hire licensing scheme.
